Lead Designer - Project Bid / NDA / Brand Identity / Photography.
Our firm (Design Resources Inc.) was selected for a bidding process to acquire a large scale full spectrum brand identity revamp. I was asked to represent DRI and direct the project by creating a pitch proposal that was shown in conjunction with a Merchandiser and overseen by our SVP of Merchandising and Global Sourcing. After completing the development for this project, we presented our bid (vision) to top execs of Design Resources Inc., Vista Outdoor and its subsidiaries companies; securing the project for DRI. This massive project was all completed under an NDA with only a handful of people across all companies knowing of the initial project. My bid proposal helped secure the contract with Vista Outdoor to rebrand their newly acquired Blackhawk brand. I was appointed the lead designer over this project for DRI and placed in charge of development for the new identity of the brand. After months of development we began a roll over process to allow the new identity package to be brought in house within the Vista Marketing team and I transitioned over to the lead designer role for the Blackhawk apparel line. Within the apparel division of Blackhawk, I worked with a four person team at DRI where we developed and sourced a tactical and urban apparel line that represents the overall feel and reputation of strength that Blackhawk has established over the life of the company in its hard good products. This phase of development created from the ground up: seasonal apparel lines and branding (Hangtags, Exterior and Interior Branding, Fabric Runs, Patterns, Carton Specs, Labels, Apparel Protos, CAD’s, Photography Shoots and Signage) that can be found in multiple sales platform B2C, B2G and DTC.
